One week till the Whitsunday Reef Festival has placed a committee of great people on tender hooks about the success of the long weekend to come 21-24 October 2010. Now it is 10 th year, the festival has done well with the weather – so typical of October is clear skies and hot days and we enter the main straight for Christmas. One week till the festival also means 7 days to the Airlie Day Spa Comedy Gala. Waterline on Shingley is once again the great venue hosting this event, with views over beach, marina and islands, Waterline is nestled in a special corner of Airlie Beach.
This year's comedy gala features the return of Lindsay Webb who provided loads and loads of laughs in 2009. Its seemed that laughter only encourages him as his performance went on and on last year. Let's hope that he has the plenty of nitrous charged laughter ammo this year.
Joining him is the famous Mickey D. This guys has been punching out the gags on stage since 17 … and despite his youth has a career covering success at Edinburgh and Montreal festivals, he has also been a hit at home … even the Kiwi's have found him funny.
The great evening Thursday 21 Oct at Waterline includes a barrel of laughs and supper for $69 per person, which makes great value and a not to be missed comic night of the year in Airlie Beach!
