The search is on for a local DJ

Whitsundays local DJs are being offered the chance of live radio air time, as the Big4 Adventure Whitsunday Reef Festival committee announced this week they were searching for someone to set the soundtrack to the Porters Whitsunday Reef Fire fireworks.
Festival volunteer Danielle Seymour said the fireworks soundtrack would be simulcast live on local radio station Sea FM.
"The fireworks soundtrack creates that extra bit of atmosphere, as the fireworks don’t just randomly explode, but are set to the beats and rhythms of the music," Ms Seymour said.
"We are looking for a talented local DJ who would like to work with us to create the soundtrack for this year’s fireworks, which will be played live on Sea FM and on the Airlie Beach foreshore," she said.
"And we encourage everyone attending the fireworks on the 22nd October to bring their radio down to the Airlie Foreshore with them so they can listen to the soundtrack from wherever their vantage point."
